On February 24, coinciding with 1 year since the war in Ukraine began, we started a new edition of this educational activity of awareness and solidarity created by Coopera NGO, so that young people from all over the world and entities can support educational cooperation projects through hours of study, under the motto "My study builds their future".
This year more than ever the efforts of your study hours will help thousands of Ukrainian war-victim families who now need our full support.
Get ready! from February 24 to March 24, you will study for and for them! With your solidarity hours you help thousands of children and families who have lost everything!!
Who is studying the Solidarity Olympiad for in 2022?
In each edition of the Study Solidarity Olympiad, one or more projects in the field of education/training are selected. Students donate their study hours, in the attached solidarity rooms, and the organization transforms the hours into EUROS, to co-finance selected educational projects.
Since Friday, February 24, more than two hundred study rooms from all over Spain and Luxembourg support this initiative, thanks to solidarity rooms and entities that support this initiative, in the XIX Solidarity Study Olympiad. This year we are sponsored by the Madrid City Council, the NGO Rescate, Palacios Alimentación, Santos Ochoa, Talleres Alcamar, Unesco, University of Granada and University of Zaragoza.
I study for Ukraine
Acción Familiar Barcelona and Coopera ONG have been working in Ukraine for more than 20 years in international reception projects for Ukrainian boys and girls at risk of social exclusion, from broken families and orphans, who are monitored and supported throughout the year.
Rafael Moreno, is the director of the SOS UKRAINE project since its inception and the person who has put both organizations in "CHECK" to react imminently to the war in Ukraine. After the Ukrainian Government decreed the evacuation order on Friday, February 24, and received an emergency call requesting help, from the Community of the Instituto del Verbo Encarnado (IVE). On March 3, the first emergency device was activated.

With your study hours we will help the victims of the war, with the NGO Rescue, in Humanitarian Aid in areas affected by the conflict in Ukraine: kyiv, Ivan-Frakivsk and Zakarpattia, facilitating access to housing accommodation, providing psychological care to school-age children and families, shelter materials, heating, and means of school transportation.

The Spanish NGO Coopera is leading this international activity, which was born 19 years ago, and in which more than 100,000 students and 15 countries have participated to date
The ONGD Coopera created this activity to make young people aware of the importance of education and access to it in the development of a person. By participating in the Olympiad, all these young people join an international movement that promotes the values of solidarity and empathy and that gives them the opportunity to get involved in development cooperation with the only thing they are capable of donating, which is their effort and study. In the last edition (2021) the Olympics registered the participation of a total of 41,819 solidarity students who donated a total of 404,415 hours of study.
Among the participating study rooms we find different profiles: schools and institutes, youth and cultural centers, youth associations and clubs, residence halls, university residences and libraries, both public and municipal, as well as the libraries of the main universities in Spain..
